Here are some important ways to improve treatment and optimize the use of LDN:
Nutrition
Make it a goal to have a diet consisting of 90% anti-inflammatory foods so no processed/packaged foods, especially starchy options like bread and chips, and cut way back on sugar. Also, good to aim for eating 3-9 cups of non-starchy veggies every day.
Lifestyle
Along with nutrition, key lifestyle choices include getting enough movement/exercise, sleep, and relaxation – daily. Don’t neglect the stress in your life. Make time for a walk, gentle yoga, creative fun, good music and even naps.
Vitamin D
It is no longer just a notion that Vitamin D plays a significant role in immune support. Get tested to make sure your blood levels are at least over 50 and as high as 80.
Gut Health
Get blood and stool tests to reveal infections that originate in the gut. The most commonly found infections include reactivated viruses and significant gut dysbiosis. Also, look to decrease candida overgrowth. Some experts say that candida can block LDN from working.
Environment
Pay attention to your home space and get rid of clutter and anything that may be affecting the air you breathe. Mold, dust, and chemicals can be found everywhere and while sometimes subtle, these toxins can cumulatively suppress your immune system.
