We’re Still Learning About Covid…
As the winter months continue, we are experiencing a tripledemic for Children. This includes a high number of cases of Covid, the flu, and RSV. In order to treat these viruses, medications that treat flu-like symptoms such as a fever and/or cough are in demand. The most common medications to treat these viruses are Tylenol and Motrin.
With the demand being greater than the supply, many stores are limiting purchases, if they even have these medications available. You might be able to find the generic versions of the medications, but they can be limited as well.
What can you do? Alternative methods can be helpful such as drinking plenty of fluids and getting rest. We know getting rest is a challenge, as your child will tend to stay awake from coughing all night. Try having them sleep at an angle so that it helps minimize the phlegm, encouraging it to flow downwards.

We can even flavor it too, as needed, which is great for children who have difficulty with bitter taste.
