About Pacifica Pharmacy

Healthcare practitioners have been addressing patients’ health concerns for centuries. For the vast majority of that time, the healthcare process has followed a primarily personal model:

  • A person has a health concern
  • They seek the help of a physician
  • The physician listens to their specific circumstances
  • The issue is addressed on an individual basis

This personal model involved one-on-one interaction between the patient and healthcare professional, yielding customized medications to treat the specific needs of individual patients.

Over the last few decades, however, personalized healthcare has declined. The rise of giant pharmaceutical companies has resulted in the mass-production of medication for commercial sale. This has not only reduced the personal dynamic, it has also limited the number of strength and dosage forms available to address patient needs.

Compounding offers patients a return to personalized care. Compounding pharmacists can prepare unique dosage forms containing specific medications for each patient, allowing individuals access to treatment options that may not otherwise be commercially available. This process allows pharmacists to work with healthcare practitioners in customizing treatment plans, avoiding the limitations of “one size fits all” medications and truly addressing patients’ unique health concerns.

Pacifica Pharmacy’s staff has decades of compounding experience. We combine ongoing training, state-of-the-art equipment, and the highest quality ingredients to address your healthcare needs in a truly personal way.
